France's first chemistry school (founded in 1822), ENSCMu trains chemical engineers in close collaboration with industry. The school is now part of the Université de Haute Alsace and students benefit from a high-level education covering all aspects of chemistry, with practical work taking up to 50% of the curriculum.

Degree courses

/ Organic, bio-organic and macromolecular chemistry.
/ Safety and the environment
/ Materials and formulations

Curriculum

The ENSCM chemistry engineer degree has been accredited by the French Commission for engineering qualifications since 1934 and follows three years of studies for students with 2 years post-secondary education.

1st and 2nd years

Core curriculum covering all areas of chemistry

/ Physical chemistry and photochemistry, polymer chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic and bio-organic chemistry, industrial safety and environment, analytical chemistry and electrochemistry.

3rd year

Core curriculum with options

/ Organic chemistry, safety and environment, materials, polymers and formulation.

These courses provide excellent synergy with the research programmes of the three ENSCMu laboratories affiliated to the CNRS and a laboratory for local research.

Admissions
